WHETHER you’re a dog person or a cat person or somewhere in between, it’s safe to say dogs have become an essential part of human life.
They’re loyal, entertaining, caring and their unconditional love is a great confidence boost, let’s be real.
Across Australia alone, the canine population is estimated at 4.8 million, with 52 per cent of all owned dogs pure bred.
And although the Labrador Retriever is the number one dog breed in Australia, there’s a few smaller canine breeds becoming more and more popular.
So here it is, the most popular dog breeds in Australia in 2017, according to Dogs NSW and the Australian National Kennel Council.
